The Preparation

Setting up your workstation and preparing your clients for their appointment is the first step in starting your day as a Lash Technician.

YOUR WORKSTATION
You will need the following items available at your workstation prior to commencing your lash application, from the FabYouLash Eyelash Extension Kit. It has everything you need to get you started as a Lash Technician.

THE CLIENT
On the day of the appointment, the client must be without any eye make-up, especially mascara and eyeliner. This is because eye make-up (even the smallest amount!) may mix with the glue, making it near impossible to apply lashes successfully.

Lash perming isn’t necessary because the extensions have a built-in curl.

Clients with fair lashes and in the habit of tinting them should be advised not to do so before-hand for at least 1 week prior. Otherwise the tinted lashes may react with the glue.

As a safety precaution, you need to advise your client to remove any contact lenses before commencing the application procedure.

During the consultation, assess the client’s natural lash condition and ask what they’re aiming for so you can choose the best possible look for them.

Prior to the application of lash extensions, the client must fill out a consent form. This gives the Lash Technician permission to apply their lashes, as well as establishing clear guidelines as to what the client can expect. It also advises of any sensitivities the client may have.

All course spots have been filled!!!
